SLR mirrors are also called single-sided perspective mirrors, commonly known as atomic mirrors.

Concept: In the state where the intensity of the ambient light on the two sides is different, the SLR mirror is enough to look like a mirror on one side, but like ordinary colored glass from the other side, it can clearly see the people and things on the opposite side.

 

Working principle: SLR mirrors are actually "double-sided mirrors". The optical properties of the front and back sides of the SLR mirrors are not different at all. The reason why it can produce the effect of single-sided reflection is because the two sides are under the influence of different ambient light levels. The SLR mirror is plated with "half" or "half silver" when it is plated with silver. It is plated with a very thin metal instead of silver, so that half of the light can pass through and the other half of the light is reflected back. On the strong side of the ambient light, because there is sufficient light and more reflected light, I see my own image in the mirror and think it is a mirror. On the other side of the mirror, because the light is weak, the light passing through the SLR mirror is very low, so people on the other side cannot see the opposite side, and can only see their own image as a mirror.
